2. HOW DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION?
We process your data to:
- Create and manage accounts.
- Enable voluntary public profiles (for visibility, networking, promotion).
- Display your contact/public info if you allow it in your profile.
- Allow other users to contact you through forms (if enabled).
- Send notifications, digests, wiki/forum updates, elections, polls.

- Email (for registration, platform activity, or wiki/forum changes).
- Digest emails with updates.
- Messages regarding polls, elections, open positions.
- Platform news or community research.
- Social media (mentions, DMs) if you engage with Équnité channels.
You can manage most notification preferences in your account settings.
6. ANALYTICS, AI, MARKETING, AND TRACKING
We use the following services:
- Google Analytics, Matomo – usage tracking.
- OpenAI API (via Discourse) – translation and AI features.
- Azure Translator – optional AI translation.
- LibreTranslate (self-hosted) – non-commercial, privacy-safe translations.
- Meta Pixel / remarketing tools – for future platform visibility and community awareness.
- Cookies and pixels – improve performance, measure engagement, personalize content.
7. DATA SHARING
We may share data with:
- Hosting providers (OVH, CDN, DNS).
- Analytics tools (Google).
- AI providers (OpenAI, Azure).
- Email and notification providers (SMTP relay, mailgun/sendinblue).
